  • Stayed in one spot all day. Nice weakfish,Blues , keeper Flounders, kingfish , croarchers, sand shark, oyster crackers, skates. Great mix. Great captain,mate and Capt. girlriend who faised at the rail all day. Alittle choppy in the morning. Dinner will be good tonight. Non stop action from 1st drop. aka (fillet and Release)

  • Capt. Vern does it again! Anchored up at 1st dropoff, we were into fish right away. Croakers and weakies mostly, then the blues showed up. Got 5 keeper weakies in first 2 hours, help out for the last one, looking for the monster. He was caught at the end of the day, not a monster, but a keeper. Great to be catching weakies in the Bay again. Looking forward to stripper season! Great job Capt. Vern, thanks again!

  • Fished in front of fortescue, and from flattop to the elbow. all fish caught in deep water 25ft+. ended up with 5 keeper flounder biggest being 22". kept 1 bluefish. also caught afew small seabass.

  • Did some surf casting today from 11:00AM to 2:30PM, albeit with a 8 foot rod, a bit short for surf casting (handmade for great lakes shore fishing). Unbelievable amount of croakers about 30 feet off shore. Cast and start reeling type of fishing, to the point that if it was a weak hit I just let them eat the bait rather than deal with bringing them in. Most of them were small, but I did reel in a couple keepers on pieces of bloodworm and night crawlers on a double hooked tackle setup with a 1 ounce sinker (it was a calm day). There were four other fisherman in my vicinity going for bigger fish who I did not see catch anything.

  • Arrived at 9:00 am. Fished with Bloodworms. Caught several 8-10 inch croakers. Great for live-lining. By noon I was using them to catch Blues. 5 in all and all were around 2-3 lbs. Good fight on light tackle. About 5 feet, literally 5 feet from the surf there was a school of juvenille stripers and spot. I must have caught about 20 stripers and a dozen spot. Released the Bass, kept he spot for bait. A few toad fish to boot and 1 shark. No weakies, Fluke or kingfish. Just too much action from the other species. If you are looking for action on lite tackle, this is the place and bloods are the bait. Fish the incoming tide about 2 hours before high and 2 hours of outgoing. Good luck and tight lines!

  • A mixed bag of fish. First was a small weakfish on shedder. Then the blues started. also caught some small striper and spots very close to shore.on bloodworm. CHICKEN was by far the best bait. ALL of the blues, a striper and alot of toadfish on chicken. My wife and I had a great day, and yes, she outfished me...

  • had a great time, only a few keepers were cought. Got a buncha sharks and my first skate, junk to some but I had fun bringing em in. The skate was a blast... thought I had the pot winner till I got eyes on it. We'll be back to try again next month

  • Capt Ralph put us right on top of em!!! Great to see an ol' timer show ya how it's done! The bite was slow, but they were under the boat drumming away! He knew where they were, and took us to em! One 40lber and a 20. The mate Bill and Ralphs wife were both helpful in making it happen. Thanks to all....great job!!! I highly recommend this gang....they've been doing it forever! Thanks to all!

  • lots of people on beach fishing butno one was catching anything,Got there about 2hrs befor low tide and stayed ubtil about 3 hrs bafter tide turned.It was a little chilly especialy after 3pm when the wind picked up.Still all in all a beautyful day out.

  • Fished with blood worm and clam. Was there between 9 am and 3 pm.1 small striper on worm. Nothing on clam. Saw several large perch caught. Lot of fishermen there. Good to be out and a great day for it. Can't wait for the big bass to move in. Shouldn't be too long.

  • Observed 7 guys surf fishing over a 2 hour period 9 stripers were hauled in, all shorties with the largest being 27 1/2 inches. One man said they had arrived about 7 am and had caught about 10 in the morning all shorts. I Personally saw 9 in two hours. That\'s all for now.
